I would like to comment on the outstanding work that Stuart and Shelby performed on our recent expansion and renovation project at our house. Stuart and Shelby added a tremendous amount of value that went well beyond typical project management. I have been in the construction industry for 20 years and I can truly state they are experts in the industry. Some of their areas where they are better than the industry standards include:
- DETAILED PROJECT BIDDING – S&S did a detailed, on-site bid meeting the vendors. Work was looked at first hand before bids were accepted, this helped greatly in preparing accurate budgets.
- STRONG VENDOR BASE – A GC is only as good as their base of subcontractors. S&S has a reliable team of high-quality subs that performed high quality work.
- COMMUNICATION – The communication was strong between the client and owner: we were always in the know of scheduled work and possible changes.
- CHANGE ORDERS – Changes that we as the owner initiated were documented for approval so there were no surprises later.
- ATTENTION TO DETAIL – The on-site project manager had a high attention for detail and this led to more high quality work being done without the need for re-work later.
We were fortunate to have an outstanding project manager, Clavio Gallerani. Clavio did an outstanding job from beginning to end. He was courteous and respectful to our family during the construction process and was always available to answer questions. There is no doubt the high quality of our end result is due in high part to his work.
In summary, I would highly recommend Stuart and Shelby for a residential remodel or expansion project. They have a great reputation in the space and I can see firsthand why it has been earned.
